4U is the new title
of the group for 20-30+ year-olds, who meet once a month, currently at Frankie
Duffy’s house. These ladies and gentlemen are from a diverse range of
backgrounds and nationalities, yet all enjoy meeting and having fellowship
together. We laugh a lot, eat a lot and we think a lot! The evening starts with
a meal lovingly prepared by one of the older members of the congregation, then
we have a time of chatting and chilling and finally we do the thinking and
reflecting bit, which is currently a consideration of the Christian response to
suffering.
From September 2011
to March 2012, we will be considering a new series of topics entitled ‘Journey
with God’. Details of this series are available here, where you can print your own copy of the
programme.
4U is for any
youngish person who would like to come along. But it is also much more than
this, as we are a group not only focussed on ourselves, but we are also 4U –
the congregation of Harrow Baptist Church. You see, we sing too, we help lead
the worship in the morning service sometimes. Yong Shik
has done a great job of moulding those who enjoy singing into a choir that
sounds amazing from where I am sitting!
But even if you
can’t sing, please do ‘check us out’. Daz Lindley is
the 4U co-ordinator and he would be happy to give you all the information you
require. His e-mail address is darren.lindley@gmail.com
