Following Jesus' example working to show God's love to all through worship and service
Happy New Year
May it bring you blessings
During the Covid pandemic the Deacons and other church leaders are following advice from the Government and the Baptist Union to work on ways we can open the church safely for some bookings and services.
Please contact us for any enquiries, or information about weddings, funerals and room bookings.
The Church is open for private prayer on Mondays and Thursdays between 12 noon and 2 pm. Entry is by the side door in William Carey Way.
Staff members will be available if needed.
Due to Covid restrictions our church is not open for worship for the next few weeks.
A You Tube video has been prepared by Andrew and Jules to show what to expect with the restrictions we have to follow when the church is open.
After the service at 11:30 we have a get together via ZOOM. Once a month we start this with a shared communion service. We also enjoy a general chat and catch up together as we would over a cup of coffee or tea following the service. Church members will be sent a link for this
If you would like to receive a copy of the service by post, please ask by sending an e-mail to email@example.com
Although all our normal church activities are suspended ,until we are instructed by the government that it is safe for us to meet, you are invited to ‘meet’ with Andrew and others for prayers at 11am on Tuesday and Thursday on Zoom. Please e mail for the link.to firstname.lastname@example.org
New Bible Study Course
Before the church building closure, we were following the Prayer course, based on the book 'How To Pray''by Pete Greig. We are continuing the course via Zoom and You Tube links.
The You Tube sessions can be found at . https://prayercourse.org/sessions/
Our usual Sunday time together will hopefully start again soon.
Welcome to the website of Harrow Baptist Church. We are
situated in the heart of Harrow town in North West London, a short walk from
the main transport hub. We are open throughout the week as well as for our
worship on Sunday.
Sunday Worship starts at 10:30 and finishes around 11:45 . We have coffee, tea and usually biscuits or cakes after the service.
You will be given a warm welcome!
We are a diverse group of all ages who have come from a wide variety of backgrounds and countries. Many in our community have grown up in different types of churches and some are new to church and just starting out learning about faith.
We are an inclusive church and come together to worship and serve Jesus in a spirit of tolerance to each other and understanding of our diversity of backgrounds and faith journey. We are open to each other and our different points of view as we seek to learn more of God.
We aim to serve our local area in all its diversity from the
lonely, the homeless and the vulnerable, to families, businesses, charities and
community groups. We have a variety of activities going on through the week.
Look through our website and if you want to get in touch, have a look at the ‘Contact Us’ page – we’d love to hear from you!
Wherever you are on your journey of faith, you are very welcome and we would love to meet you
Lord, I want to meet with You,
I want to tell You about the things that are troubling me.
I want to share my joys and tell you how about my day.
In the quiet of this hour I want to know You are with me.
In the stillness I will wait for You to come to me.
Do you need to pray with someone? We are open most of the week and you will usually be able to find someone to pray with or leave a prayer request. However, we have special prayer times open to all on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 11:00. This is a good time to come along and share your prayer needs.
