Following Jesus' example working to show God's love to all through worship and service
As from Tuesday 17.3.20 we have been advised by the Baptist Union that all group meetings including worship in the church should be suspended.
Please leave a message on the church answerphone for any enquiries, or information about weddings and funerals.
We invite you to go to our YouTube Channel - Harrow Baptist Church London- for reflections and past services.
At 10.30 on Sundays please join us for worship using ZOOM. Church members will be sent an internet link to the service on Saturday evening or Sunday morning. If you would like a copy of the link please e mail our Minister Andrew on .email@example.com
If you would like to receive a copy of the service by post, please ask by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
The service, on 29.3.20 will be led by our minister, Andrew Jackson, with contributions from our Minister-in-Training Sue Whalley and our church member Sian Hemming.
Although all our normal church activities are suspended ,until we are instructed by the government that it is safe for us to meet, you are invited to ‘meet’ with Andrew for prayer at 11am on Tuesday and Thursday on Zoom. Please e mail for the email@example.com
Before the church building closure, we were taking the Prayer course, based on the book 'How To Pray''by Pete Greig. Andrew would like to complete that soon, perhaps over Zoom, with those who are able to and wish to. In the meantime, if you want to look at the remaining sessions, you can find them at https://prayercourse.org/sessions/
Welcome to the website of Harrow Baptist Church. We are
situated in the heart of Harrow town in North West London, a short walk from
the main transport hub. We are open throughout the week as well as for our
worship on Sunday.
Sunday Worship starts at 10:30 and finishes around 11:45 . We have coffee, tea and usually biscuits or cakes after the service.
You will be given a warm welcome!
We are a diverse group of all ages who have come from a wide variety of backgrounds and countries. Many in our community have grown up in different types of churches and some are new to church and just starting out learning about faith.
We are an inclusive church and come together to worship and serve Jesus in a spirit of tolerance to each other and understanding of our diversity of backgrounds and faith journey. We are open to each other and our different points of view as we seek to learn more of God.
We aim to serve our local area in all its diversity from the
lonely, the homeless and the vulnerable, to families, businesses, charities and
community groups. We have a variety of activities going on through the week.
Look through our website and if you want to get in touch, have a look at the ‘Contact Us’ page – we’d love to hear from you!
Wherever you are on your journey of faith, you are very welcome and we would love to meet you
Lord, I want to meet with You,
I want to tell You about the things that are troubling me.
I want to share my joys and tell you how about my day.
In the quiet of this hour I want to know You are with me.
In the stillness I will wait for You to come to me.
Do you need to pray with someone? We are open most of the week and you will usually be able to find someone to pray with or leave a prayer request. However, we have special prayer times open to all on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 11:00. This is a good time to come along and share your prayer needs.
